History in the Making: The Bulwark Insurance Agency P.H.A.S.E.1 Youth Basketball League Platinum League Roster Announcement

This Sunday, history will be written in the annals of Jamaican basketball. The Bulwark Insurance Agency P.H.A.S.E.1 Youth Basketball League Platinum League, Jamaica’s first indoor elite youth basketball league, is officially tipping off at the UWI Bowl in Kingston. Featuring the top 48 youth players across the island, this groundbreaking league represents the next step in the development of basketball in Jamaica, showcasing the immense talent and potential the country has to offer.

The Platinum League brings together the *best of the best—young athletes who have proven themselves in the Gold League, with each team adding two experience players over 21 to increase the level of play. This will truly be an environment for these rising stars to take their skills to the next level. Representing four regional teams—Manchester Horizon (Manchester, St. Elizabeth and Clarendon), Kingston Storm (Kingston, St. Andrew, St. Thomas and Portland), St. James Waves (St. James, Hanover and Westmoreland), and Trelawny Rivers (Trelawny, St. Ann, St. Mary and St. Catherine)—these players have earned their spot among Jamaica’s elite. Covering all parishes and regions, this is truly a national showcase of talent, determination, and the love for the game.


The Teams


- Manchester Horizon: Representing central Jamaica, this team brings a balance of size, speed, and skill to the court.

- Kingston Storm: With the energy of the nation’s capital behind them, this team is ready to electrify the competition.

- St. James Waves: From Montego Bay and western Jamaica, the Waves are set to crash into the Platinum League with power and precision.

- Trelawny Rivers: Flowing from northern Jamaica, the Rivers are determined to make a splash and represent their region with pride.
